Stealthy Hunter. The aurumvorax will attempt to hide and attack a creature by surprise. An aurumvorax has advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn’t taken a turn in combat yet.

Valuable. Even though the aurumvorax is small in size, it weighs nearly 500 pounds when fully grown. That’s because of the creature’s added diet of gold and treasure. The aurumvorax’s hide could possibly be turned into a garment of incredible strength and beauty worth 15,000 to 20,000 gold pieces. Also, dwarves have been known to raise them to sniff out veins of ore.

Actions

Multiattack. When an aurumvorax makes a bite attack that hits, it then grips it’s victim with it’s mouth. The creature becomes grappled and prone. The aurumvorax will then attempt up to 8 claw attacks on a victim in the same round that it has gripped it. The aurumvorax will then drag it’s victim away. Every round the aurumvorax will continue to claw and move quickly away with it’s acquired “meal”.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage. A DC 18 strength saving throw can end the aurumvorax clamp at the beginning of the victim’s turn.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage.
