Curse of Strahd (D&D 5e) – 6 Optional Backgrounds from Adventurers League
Today we get a collection of six optional backgrounds for Season 4 of Adventurers League (or your own home game too) to go along with the Haunted One background.
Surviving the Mists takes guts, courage, and a bit of luck. Contained herein is a selection of new and interesting backgrounds for those who wish to explore the dangers of Lord Strahd’s realm.
The backgrounds are designed for starting play in Phlan and are Black Fist Double Agent, Dragon Casualty, Iron Route Bandit, Phlan Insurgent, Stojanow Prisoner, and Ticklebelly Nomad.

Those who live near the town of Phlan are the hardiest of folk. With control of the town by the green dragon Vorgansharax townsfolk are every more on their own, doing whatever they can to survive under the rule of the Maimed Virulence. The lands near the town of Phlan, to the east and north are in a mystical conjunction with the land of Barovia and everyday folks who find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time can find themselves in a strange terrifying land.
This game resource features six new backgrounds that you can use for your D&D Adventurers League characters, whether playing in the confines of Barovia or still in the Forgotten Realms.
