This weekend I volunteered to run some games for a local charity gaming convention. The Save Vs. Hunger 2017 Convention was raising money for the Second Harvest Food Bank in Maryville, TN. They raised much needed funds for children hunger relief. If you are able, you should go to the 2nd Harvest website and donate. I am always happy to volunteer, but the adventure I moderated wasn’t exactly my favorite. There were a lot of things I didn’t like, and then I thought about the DnDAL adventures that I do like.

So I decided to put together an article about the convention one-shot games that are available.  But I don’t want to make a negative list. I wanted a listing of what I think are the best adventures that you can go pick up right now and play with your group.

All right, so I will just jump right into this and create a list with a little blurb about the adventure. I went to DMsGuild and looked through the customer ratings & comments to create a listing of the top 20 Adventurers League games. I will go in reverse starting with 20 and working to number 1 at the end…

So that is the list that I was able to gather from the data on DMsGuild (ratings & customer comments). I added some links to the author’s Twitter pages for the ones that I could find. You can easily pick up digital copies of those adventures through the DMsGuild. Play them at home or morph the story into your ongoing campaign. The great thing is that we can now play these adventures anywhere, and thankfully the DMsGuild was created that made this all possible. If the content creators ever make updates, additions or corrections, you get notified and can go get the additional content. As with all the OneBookShelf sites, it’s a great digital repository along with a consumer rating system. This listing may be skewed toward the newer releases since the older ones were given out to stores. So how ever you feel about an adventure, make sure to rate it, and add some comments. 🙂

After compiling the listing I noticed a LOT of Baldman Games adventures were at the top. I have played several of these adventures, and I think the kudos really go to all the writers, editors and administrators for the great work that they have been able to produce. Thank you Shawn Merwin! The work is top notch with great attention to details that make a D&D game just plain fun. BRAVO ZULU!

And here is a shout out to all of the D&D Adventurers League Campaign Administrators. They make sure the season adventures are there for everyone to enjoy: Robert Adduci , Bill BenhamClaire HoffmanGreg Marks, Alan Patrick, & Travis Woodall!
