Open Legend RPG

A couple of months ago, a reader reached out to be to say that he had created a new tabletop game, and he hoped I would consider an article on it. We had a good conversation about it, and I agreed. History of the Classes has involved a lot of design critique, which is related to but (in my head if nowhere else) different from a review. Seventh Sphere Publishing plans to crowdfund through Kickstarter later this year, running from 18 October to 19 November. The core rules are available for free on the Open Legend RPG website.

Goodman Games’ Mutant Crawl Classics – Kickstarter

This is the last day for everyone to join in and support the new Mutant Crawl Classics by Jim Wampler. The kickstarter has already been funded, and they almost at 1000% of their goal.  There are only hours left, so hurry up and back this great project so that more stretch goals can be crushed! Delivery of the books for backers are planned to start Summer 2017. Here are the details from the kickstarter:

Battlestations: 2nd Edition! Tabletop Starship Simulator – Kickstarter

Battlestations: 2nd Edition kickstarter will be closing March 3rd (tomorrow), and is currently 394% funded at $165k. Battlestations first came out 16 years ago, and has a following of avid players. You can read reviews of the first Battlestations here: Boardgame Geek – Battlestations.  The Battlestations 1st edition game comes in strong with a 7.18/10 rating at Boardgame Geek.

Aethera – Pathfinder Campaign Setting – Kickstarter

Aethera: Swords and Starships Kickstarter takes Pathfinder RPG Fans to New Worlds

Encounter Table Publishing, a startup tabletop RPG publishing company founded by RPG author Robert Brookes, is proud to announce the launch of the Aethera Campaign Setting Kickstarter! The Aethera Campaign Setting brings space opera to the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.

The Folio #4 – 1E/5E Format Adventure Module – Kickstarter

This is the 4th Kickstarter in the Six part Roslof Keep Campaign series, and it is currently at funding levels with over 300 backers, but you only 7 days remaining to join! R Scott Taylor is the Art Director at Gygax Magazine, and heads up the Folio series from his company Art of the Genre. The Folio adventure modules have been going strong since the beginning of 2015. I have been lucky to have been able to be a part of this series since the start, and they has always delivered a great product.

The adventures are made for 1st and 5th edition. The Kickstarter campaigns have always been on time, we receive constant & great communication from Scott, the adventures are great, organized & well thought out, and the Art is outstanding! This all comes from a Art of the Genre that has a solid history of producing RPG gaming modules, art and novels now with 10 successfully filled Kickstarter campaigns under their belt. If is the first time hearing about the campaign, then I would suggest getting the print and electronic versions. And if you’re able, get a backing level so that you can get all 4 adventures.

Shadow of the Demon Lord RPG – PDF Available

The long awaited Shadow of the Demon Lord RPG is now available for the Kickstarter supporters through the DriveThruRPG website. I am very glad to have it in my digitized hands, so I can start perusing over it. Here are my initial impressions with an intro about the game first;

Primeval Thule D&D 5th Edition Campaign Setting – Kickstarter

There is a Kickstarter for D&D 5th edition Primeval Thule Campaign setting that you need to see. Primeval Thule was designed by Richard Baker, David Noonan & Stephen Schubert for several other game systems. I currently own the Pathfinder version, and I am very excited to also be a Kickstarter backer for the D&D 5th edition campaign setting from Primeval Thule.

Keith Baker Talks Phoenix: Dawn Command, Eberron and More

We had a chance to pull Keith Baker of Twogether Studios away from his work to ask some questions about Phoenix: Dawn Command (which we covered in a previous story), gaming, Eberron and his hat. Phoenix is “a game where death not only makes you stronger, it defines who you become“, has a Kickstarter that has already been funded and is starting to hit stretch goals with around a week to go.

RPG Bookmark Kickstarter

Kickstarters for new RPG systems, settings, or even entirely new digital tools are all fun; but sometimes it’s nice to join in a campaign that is simple, beautiful, and useful. Which is why I backed the ‘Fantasy RPG Bookmarks’ kickstarter. Considering the number of bookmarks pledging provides -and how these numbers continue to grow as the campaign hits stretch goals- the bookmarks are very affordable and (I think) will be fairly useful for my gamemastering.
