One of my players tracks inventory and writes the recaps. Super helpful and it let's me focus on the next week's session vs. spending time on the previous session.

Thanks Shawn. As a player, I've found out that Prepping is one of the best things to do. Before each session I learned all my spells, spell-like abilities, attacks etc, plus had a read to my PC's background, ideals, bonds etc. Also, I was the record keeper of the party, so I did a recap of where we had left off at the last session.

Typically, we played once every two weeks, so this process was vital in order to remember stuff and get into the mood more easily.

One of the other lessons that I've found out is that being not a d1ck pays out. Yes, most of the times I play a CN character, but this does not mean that I have to f*ck everybody up to stay in character. Whichever the actions, one must always consider that everybody on the table are on the same team. Also, sometimes you may understand that the GM has done something wrong or you may have figured out the plot he's laying. Do not be that guy that ruins it for everybody, talk to your GM out of game and in private.
