The Handbook of Heroes is written by Colin Stricklin and illustrated by Laurel Shelley-Reuss. The premise of their joke-a-day style comic is that a self-help "tome" was created to guide young and veteran adventurers on their journeys. Each single panel comic chronicles the adventures of a fighter, thief, wizard, cleric and other classes with trope-filled fantasy genre jokes and fun.

Looking for Group is a Canadian webcomic written by Ryan Sohmer and drawn by Lar DeSouza. Since 2006, this award winning fantasy-themed comic has followed the adventures of Richard (an undead warlock), Cale'Anon (an elven hunter), as well as their companions they meet along the way. The comic began as a parody of the World of Warcraft video game, but draws from many fantasy sources for its themes, poking fun at anything from Lord of the Rings to thinly veiled pop culture references. The comic balances humor and gags with following the progress of the characters on an adventure.

Table Titans is a webcomic (which is also later published in book form) which has been running since 2013, and is currently running Season 4. It follows the adventures of the 'Table Titans' gaming group and their rivals the Dungeon Dogs while they play Dungeons & Dragons. The comic panels jump between following the adventures of the groups at the table while out of character and in-game.

What if the Star Wars saga as we know it never existed and was just a story being made up by players of a sci-fi tabletop RPG? Well, if this was the case, then I guess the resulting story might actually make a lot more sense (especially the prequels).

This week’s featured comic on Comic Corner is Marblegate! Marblegate is a webcomic by Brett Neufeld “inspired by roleplaying games, rougelikes, and western fantasy stories” that has been running since June 2016.

I just read this news from yesterday and it is awesome when two things you love come together. IDW has announced that they’ll be releasing a four-issue miniseries sometime in August 2018, featuring Rick and Morty in the world of Dungeons & Dragons, in partnership with Oni Press. This crossover is being written by Patrick Rothfuss and Jim Zub, with art by Troy Little. Both of the authors are no stranger to D&D. Zub is currently writing the D&D Baldur’s […]
