New Toy Line Aims to Bring Dungeons & Dragons to the Next Generation

Hasbro and its tabletop division, Wizards of the Coast, are teaming up with toy maker Basic Fun! to introduce Dungeons & Dragons Questers — a collectible action figure line crafted specifically to ignite the imaginations of young fans and aspiring adventurers. The first wave of figures is set to hit major toy retailers worldwide in July 2026, marking a major push to introduce the D&D brand to a new generation of players and storytellers.

D&D Questers is designed for kids ages 5 to 8, translating core elements of the tabletop role-playing experience into tactile, play-oriented collectibles. The line features three distinct scalesCreatures, Adventurers, and Monsters — each delivered in blind-pack mystery format that encourages collection and discovery.

One of the standout features of Questers is its emphasis on buildability and customization. Each figure is fully buildable with interchangeable parts, allowing young players to mix and match characters, accessories, and creatures to create their own fantasy combinations. Every package also includes a D20 die and a story starter, tools meant to spark creativity and help kids invent adventures inspired by their figures.

The DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Questers toys from Basic Fun! will debut at retail in July 2026.

Bridging Generations Through Play

According to statements from both companies, Questers is meant to bridge generations — giving longtime D&D fans a new way to share the worlds and lore they love with their children, while offering younger players an accessible entry point into fantasy role-playing. The product line emphasizes imagination-led play, personalization, and storytelling, aligning with the broader trend of experiences that blend physical toys with narrative engagement.

Dan Westcott, Senior Vice President of Global Brand Marketing at Basic Fun!, highlighted the goal of making the Dungeons & Dragons universe approachable and fun for modern kids: “Questers invites kids into the world of D&D in a way that feels approachable, creative and fun for today’s young adventurers,” he said. Wizards of the Coast’s franchise creative team echoed this sentiment, noting the collaboration is all about expanding the brand’s reach while honoring its fantasy roots.
