Mage Hand High Five Presents Thank God It’s Doomsday, a Workplace Comedy Actual Play About the End of the World

By Mage Hand High Five

Heralding the Irrevocable Apocalypse is a real team effort. While Void Mother Boslara the Sweet is the face of the Great Chantry, there are thousands of people behind the scenes making sure the end of the world runs smoothly. HR onboards new scribes and sisters, Accounting tracks the finances (no one said the apocalypse would be cheap) and, even with magic, the facilities don’t take care of themselves. Thank God It’s Doomsday follows a crew of lowly Chantry support staff determined to herald in the apocalypse — and claw their way out of middle management — once and for all.

Mage Hand High Five’s new three-episode limited series Thank God It’s Doomsday (TGID) blends high fantasy worldbuilding with workplace mockumentary pastiche to take listeners behind the scenes with four corporate lackeys as they try to bring about the apocalypse. TGID is produced in collaboration with Kobold Press as part of the 2025 Kobold Creates program. It features the Tales of the Valiant system, as well as lore and worldbuilding from Kobold Press’ Labyrinth Worldbook.

TGID is GMed by Max Weinberg of Mage Hand High Five and features special guest players Robin Ekberg (Dorkspawn, Frequencies) and Shenuque Tissera (Many Sided Media), as well as Mage Hand High Five cast members Rowan McStay and Casey Papas.
The first episode of TGID premieres October 22, 2025, with two more episodes dropping on October 29 and November 5. You can find Thank God It’s Doomsday as well as Mage Hand High Five’s flagship season, The Badlands, on all major podcast platforms.
