Gen Con 2016 – The Best Four Days in Gaming Recap

I was able to spend four days gaming with lots of people and it was great! It all took place last week in Indianapolis at Gen Con. I took some videos of the convention center and a few pictures of my adventures. Wednesday Night we walked over to the convention center to check out the setup, and the first thing we saw was a line. A VERY LONG LINE.

So I went back, and recorded a video as I walked the line. The next day I was able to get an early entry ticket into the Exhibit hall and walked through with my recorder. I saw the new Stuff from Goodman Games, and a demonstration of Ascension – Dreamscape from Stone Blade Entertainment. Then the crowds poured into the Exhibit Hall.

There will be some followup articles about my experience at Gen Con, mainly interviews that I was able to fit into a schedule that included; DMing some 5e games, Castles and Chemo fundraiser volunteer, walking and standing in long lines, attending the ENnies, social media updates for Baldman Games, playing some RPGs (Dungeon Crawl Classics, D&D 5th Edition, Shadow of the Demon Lord), and lots of “Are you a Werewolf?” game.

It was a great con, and I met a lot of new people, and saw even more that I knew and recognized. I am sure that next year will be hectic with the Gen Con 50th anniversary.”Gen Con returns to Indianapolis from August 17-20, 2017 to celebrate the historic Gen Con 50.”

I hope you enjoy all the pictures and the videos I was able to make this year. Next year will not come soon enough, and I hope I am able to do just a little bit more and make even more friends. I have some more articles to post about Gen Con, and so I’m going to go work on those now.

Cheers!
