Watch D&D Live 2020: Roll w/ Advantage Today in Support of the Red Nose Day Campaign
RENTON, WA – June 19, 2020 – D&D Live 2020: Roll w/ Advantage is all about coming together and committing to make the change that is needed in our world. Dungeons & Dragons announced today during D&D Live 2020 that Wizards of the Coast will match donations and purchases from fans up to $250,000 to Red Nose Day to help the most vulnerable children across the US and around the world stay safe, healthy and educated.
Red Nose Day funds a cross-section of programs that address children’s needs holistically with funds going where the need is the greatest. Every bit helps: $5 can provide a child in need with remote homework help and mentoring, $5 can provide a nutritious breakfast and lunch for a child who usually relies on school for food and $15 can provide a precious book to stem learning loss for an out-of-school child in need. Consider donating even a small amount to have a large impact and you’ll have your donation matched by Wizards of the Coast.
Fans of D&D can get some tangible rewards for their donations to Red Nose Day! By donating $10 or more to Red Nose Day, fans registering through the D&D Live Event Portal will gain access to unique gameplay experiences including online D&D Adventurer’s League sessions. Through the end of this month, fans can also purchase event apparel and a custom-designed adventure that families can easily play together. All proceeds from D&D Live 2020: Roll w/Advantage will benefit Red Nose Day.
D&D Live 2020: Roll w/ Advantage features big personalities playing elves, wizards and fighters to accomplish quests helping those in need using their imaginations. Highlights for today’s programming include the Red Nose Day Table broadcast at 10am PT with Chris Perkins DMing for Martin Starr, Felicia Day, Brett Gelman and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. The VOD for that game will be available today on the D&D YouTube channel. At 12:30pm PT, fans can watch the BlackAF Sidetable panel hosted by Omega Jones at 12:30pm PT with Tanya DePass, Aabria Iyengar, TK Johnson, WWE Superstar Ember Moon, and B. Dave Walters discussing their experiences. At 2pm PT, “Comedians Play D&D” will bring funny people – Brian Posehn, Sue Perkins, Kevin Sussman, Melissa Villasenor, Reggie Watts and Thomas Middleditch – together to solve problems or, more likely, cause some hilarious new ones.
On Saturday June 20, fans can tune into D&D’s Cast of Thrones Game at Noon PT that will reunite Game of Thrones actors including Kristian Nairn, Daniel Portman, Iwan Rheon, Natalia Tena and Gemma Whelan in a riveting game led by Wizards of the Coast’s very own Kate Welch as DM. Following that game, at 2pm PT, WWE ® Superstars Xavier Woods ®, Tyler Breeze ®, Ember Moon ®, Alexa Bliss ® and Dio Maddin ® will contend with beefcake destroyer Jeremy Crawford, a.k.a. Principal Rules Designer for D&D. And principal D&D writer Chris Perkins will take players new to D&D, including Brandon Routh, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff and David Harbour, through adventures sure to de-mystify the hobby for all who tune in.
Yesterday, Deborah Ann Woll led a group of actors including Amy Acker, Jay Ellis, Janina Gavankar, Matthew Lillard and Sam Richardson, in improvising a way to help people in a fantasy world not that different from ours. The day closed out with Reality RP, a streaming show that combines reality TV show rules with Dungeons & Dragons, social media, and fan interaction.
