Menzoberranzan
With the Home Group going into the Underdark and about to face lots of Drow. I thought it appropriate to start researching some more on Drow. And surprisingly, I came across a used copy of the Menzoberranzan: Boxed Set 1992 (2nd edition version) last week. I already have the 4th edition books Menzoberranzan: City of Intrigue and Underdark, so this was a nice addition to my ever-expanding D&D collection.
All of the material has a ton of great ideas that I can use for history and backgrounds. After reading through them, I decided I needed to couple them with the original AD&D GDQ (Giants, Descent, Queen) series (which they have electronically at DriveThruRPG). So now, I have a ton of resources to build an awesome campaign with the just the right Underdark flavor.
There are a ton of Drow and Underdark material available, and Wizards of the Coast is constantly releasing old material electronically.
Also, I am pretty excited about the upcoming Rage of Demons: Out of the Abyss. I am sure we will still be playing the Underdark campaign when it comes out, because of summer vacations and conventions.
It should be fun.
