Wizkids – Tomb of Annihilation Board Game
WizKids’ Tomb of Annihilation Game designed by Kevin Wilson takes on a long history of D&D Adventure System Cooperative board games and makes some great additions. First, I think this is the best of the series. If you haven’t played any of the other D&D Adventure System board games, then I think that this should be your first purchase. You can get the other ones and add them to expand your options by mixing heroes and monsters. You can also get the older Dungeon Command games to expand your game. The other things like tiles and cards can be difficult to fit, and there is some helpful information about combining the other games together on Board Game Geek: DnD Adventure System Guide. You should play through the Tomb of Annihilation. We found it to be a lot of fun, and easy to stop at the end of an adventure and pick up the next one.
First, I really liked being able to sit down and play a quick dungeon crawl game. It isn’t hard to teach someone how to play, and the system gets harder as you start adding higher level monsters and traps. This is a very large box with lots of miniatures and maps tiles. The standard game has miniatures that are single colors, but you can buy the premium edition, and the miniatures are fully painted. But the premium edition comes at twice the price.
The death curse grows and the souls of the world are in peril! Are you ready for adventure?
In the Tomb of Annihilation Adventure System Board Game, you play a heroic adventurer. With amazing abilities, spells, and magic weapons, you must explore the jungle of Chult, as well as the Tomb of the Nine Gods, where you will fight monsters, overcome traps and find treasure.

Following in the path of the other critically-acclaimed D&D board games, Tomb of Annihilation features multiple scenarios, challenging quests and game play designed for a single player or a cooperative group of 2-5 players. The Tomb of Annihilation Adventure System Board Game features new trap and spell decks for even more exciting game play content! That’s not all: monsters can now gain conditions!
Tomb of Annihilation can also be combined with the other D&D Adventure System Cooperative Play Board Games, including the terrifying Temple of Elemental Evil, The Legend of Drizzt, Castle Ravenloft, and Wrath of Ashardalon, to create an even more exciting experience.
